Keycap Boxes Guide
All Keycap Box tiers in Spin A Keycap Roblox explained: costs, loot pools, rarity odds, and which box to buy at each progression stage.
The Keycap Box System
Keycap Boxes are randomized loot containers purchased from the in-game Shop. Each box tier has a fixed price in in-game cash and draws from a specific loot pool when opened. Higher-priced tiers contain better rarity distributions — more rare, epic, and INSANE results per opening on average.
Boxes are the only standard path to obtaining keycaps. There is no map collection mechanic like the separate game Collect a Keycap. Your entire inventory flows from shop purchases funded by plot income.
Box Tier Progression
Starter boxes appear at low prices accessible within your first minutes. They heavily weight common and uncommon keycaps — ideal for initial plot fill. Mid-tier boxes unlock as your cash per second grows, introducing rare results at meaningful rates. These are your workhorse boxes during mid-game.
Premium and INSANE boxes sit at the top of the Shop. They cost significantly more but access the pools where epic and INSANE keycaps appear. Save for these once your plot is full and stable mid-tier income supports periodic premium openings.
- Starter boxes — cheap, common-heavy, early plot fill
- Mid-tier boxes — rare results, mid-game staple
- Premium boxes — epic chances, late mid-game
- INSANE boxes — top rarity pool, endgame target
Using the Shop Effectively
Open the Shop and review each available box tier before purchasing. Compare prices against your current cash and income rate. Tap info icons to view exact rarity percentages — this data drives every strategic decision on this wiki.
If a new box tier appears after an update, check our events page and re-read Shop odds before assuming it matches previous tier behavior. Developers sometimes add limited-time boxes with unique pools.
Box Opening Best Practices
Open boxes when you can immediately place or compare the result. Never open before a logout unless you will place the keycap first. Batch opening multiple boxes without placing between them risks inventory clutter and missed upgrade comparisons.
Track which box tier you are opening and whether results are improving your plot. If five consecutive mid-tier boxes fail to beat your weakest slot, consider saving for the next tier instead of continuing to spam.
